The Amble Inn
"The Amble Inn" is our own, fully licensed bar, right here in the village. It is open at various times and days of the week, dependent upon the activities that are happening. A list of the upcoming opening times can be found by clicking here.
The Amble Inn stocks a reasonable range of popular beers, ciders, wine, spirits and soft drinks. But slow selling or low volume varieties of drinks to suit individual tastes cannot be catered for. Occasionally The Amble Inn may feature a "special" beer or wine to gauge the likely popularity of a requested drink or to take advantage of a good price from the suppliers. We also carry some drinks like Baileys, Tia Maria, Port and Sherry. We sometimes feature some cocktails when advertised.
The Amble Inn prices are highly competitive and well below those obtainable at normal "external" licensed establishments.
The Amble Inn is a major source of revenue for the Residents' Committee to allow them to subsidise the purchase of items, contribute to outings and events, sponsor social functions etc. So, the next time that you enjoy something that has been arranged for your enjoyment, remember that a substantial portion of any subsidies has been generated by The Amble Inn.
The Amble Inn is totally dependent on volunteers to function and is currently chronically short of suitable, "Responsible Service of Alcohol" (RSA) qualified volunteers. The RSA qualification is a simple, on-line, multiple-choice question and answer course, followed by a short one on one interview conducted over the phone. The associated costs for the course are re-imbursed upon satisfactory completion and presentation of your certificate to one of the bar managers. If you feel that you can contribute at any time, feel free to talk to one of the volunteers when The Amble Inn is open.
On certain occasions, including most Friday evenings and certain Sunday afternoons, freshly cooked meals are available for sale direct from the kitchen by our chef. Please click here to see more information about the kitchen.
The Amble Inn is a friendly, comfortable place to sit, enjoy a drink, meet friends old and new and have a chat. Please come along and try us if you haven't been there yet.
The Amble Inn Opening Times
Please note that the opening hours shown below are strictly at the Duty Bar Manager's discretion and are driven by the demand. The Amble Inn will not remain open if the are no customers, even though there may be residents and their guests still in the bar area.
From the Kitchen
The following weekly meals may be booked using the "Meal Booking" folders available in both the Town Hall and the Clubhouse mail rooms. The booking sheets are generally taken away on the Tuesday at 11:00am before a Friday meal.
Any "special event" meals may be booked using the "Special Events Booking" folders. These are also available in the Town Hall and Clubhouse mail rooms when a major event is due to take place. Please refer to either the booking folders, your copy of The Hub and the notice board flyers (which are also available on this website click here for more information) for events dates and meal booking closing dates.
Payments are made on the night of your meal using either EFTPOS (preferred method) or cash generally between 4:00pm and 4:30pm. However special events can and will vary in their times, so please refer to the booking folders, your copy of The Hub or notice board flyers for any special arrangements.

Raffles at The Amble Inn
A raffle is held at The Amble Inn on most occasions that the bar is open. A weekly raffle is held each Friday and a monthly raffle is held at each "The Amble Inn on Sunday". Additionally a weekly "Villa Draw" is held each Friday.
Raffles are sometimes held on "Special Event" days and other occasions.
The Friday Evening Raffle -
This is held at approximately 5:00pm before the Friday dinner service. Tickets cost $5.00 for 6 tickets and are on sale from a table near the entrance to the Town Hall.
Prizes may vary each week, but typically include gift cards for Woolworths or Coles, chocolates and wine. During the period leading up to Christmas a weekly Ham prize is often included.
The Friday Evening Lucky Villa Draw -
This is held at approximately 5:15pm before the Friday dinner service. Entry into this draw is free to all residents, however you MUST be present at The Amble Inn when the number is drawn to be eligible for the prize. The prize starts at $100 and increases by $10 each week (with an upper limit of $200) until the prize is won by a lucky resident.
The Amble Inn on Sunday Raffle -
This is held at approximately 3:00pm on "The Amble Inn on Sunday" Sundays. Tickets cost $5.00 for 6 tickets and are on sale from your friendly ticket seller in the bar area.
Prize typically are gift cards for Woolworths or Coles.
