Residents' forums are held regularly in the Town Hall Auditorium.
An online search will reveal that the word "forum" is attached to two distinct things. The first being the place where public meetings and discussions are held. The second being the actual discussion that takes place in the forum.
In our context at NLRR both descriptions are appropriate, we meet at a forum, the Town Hall and at the forum (meeting) we are presented with topics that are discussed in an open format with each person having an equal opportunity and right to participate.

Generally, forums are held on the second and third Wednesday mornings of each month and are held at the Town Hall commencing at 10:00am
The second Wednesday of each month being when an "Information" forum is held. These information forums can feature any manner of presentation that allows the speaker, sometimes from entities external to the village, to make the residents aware of services, features, health related items, special offers etc.
The third Wednesday of each month being when the Village Manager and (separately) the Chairperson of the Residents' Committee update the residents on all things that are happening around the village. Be that good news or in some cases, bad news, that will or may impact our lives and to report back to the residents on recent events and committee meetings etc.
Additional forums may be added at other times if the need arises.
At the end of each forum residents are given ample opportunity to ask questions, state their opinion and to seek further advise.
Coffee and tea making facilities are available in the Town Hall at each forum for residents and attendees to make themselves a cup of coffee or tea. Also, light morning refreshments are available at no cost.
At the end of each forum a draw is made based on the Villa/Unit number. The prizes are typically vouchers for either the Beauty/Hair salon or for the Coffee Hub. It is necessary for you to be present at the forum to be eligible to win a prize.
